Nearly 135 days following the previous coach's initial media briefing as the club's manager, his replacement the German coach faced reporters at Ibrox for the initial occasion.

The scale of the task ahead of him is well known, given his predecessor's turbulent and unsuccessful four-month tenure.

The ex- Wednesday manager was accompanied by club chairman the chairman, along with the frequently questioned duo of football director Thelwell and chief executive Stewart.

But what exactly was revealed from the young coach's maiden media outing as the club's manager?

The Manager's Primary Focus - Winning is Everything

One thing emerged clearly from Rohl's initial presentation in front of the local press - he recognizes the need to win matches, and achieve this quickly.

The previous manager Martin lasted only 17 games and 123 days as manager, so the inquiry emerged about what timeframe the new man thinks is realistic to turn around the underperforming team.

While skillfully avoiding a specific response that could bring future pressure, Rohl's communication was quite clear.

"With hope very quickly," he said. "This is essential.
"In this business you have limited time. You can discuss long-term vision but it's understood it concerns the short-term and that period involves securing victories. That is my requirement.
"Another aspect remains clear - I need every squad member to comprehend how we want to perform. I come back to my main theme: it's winning, it's attractive and it's together. By following this sequence, I'm convinced that I'll stay for years at the club."

Pressure is Normal

The previous manager needed security protection to leave the stadium after his final match as manager.

We've seen how hostile environments can turn at football clubs when results decline. Demonstrations have nearly become a regular part of the matchday atmosphere on each part of Glasgow currently.

As Rangers' youngest manager in history, the question was posed about what qualities Rohl believes he possesses that would enable him to handle, let alone excel, in among the highest-pressure roles in British football?

"I think pressure in football are standard," he stated. "You must learn that rapidly.
"I think some people could reference my age but I'm 16 years in this career. I had a great opportunity to work with the German club and serve as just the assistant coach, but I experienced what it means to be a head coach and the pressure you face.
"When you start getting results and then some critics will say you must play attractive soccer. That's the next stage but precisely what I want. I enjoy that challenge and I look forward for what's ahead."

Thelwell Explains Chermiti Signing & Appointing Family Member

Kevin Thelwell media conference

There were plenty of questions from the media directed at Thelwell.

Significant attention has concerned the appointment of his son as head of recruitment, with fans unconvinced about his qualifications for the position.

However, he justified and explained the decision to recruit Thelwell Jnr to the club.

"It's always awkward to listen and in appearance I believe we all agreed when we took this step to hire him that he'd be viewed in a particular way," Thelwell said.
"The truth of the situation is that we aim to bring the very best talent to this club.
"My perspective on Robbie's career and situation is he required no my assistance in soccer.
"He served at Villa as head scout, he then moved to Norwich as scouting chief and then was elevated to player pathways manager.
"Prior to our recruited him, two Premier League teams wanted to acquire him. What we did from the beginning of proceedings was consult with Patrick, the chairman and vice-chairman Marathe about this situation.
"I was extremely open and I believe Robbie probably underwent a stricter process than anybody else employee by the team.
"What I do know is that he'll labor constantly to be successful for this football club and I'm looking forward seeing him demonstrating that he's going to be an excellent employee for the club."

Additionally, Thelwell supported the acquisition of striker Chermiti, who arrived at the club for an alleged initial fee of eight million pounds, after failing to find the net in 24 appearances for his previous club.

The sporting director who transferred the Portugal youth international to Liverpool from Sporting Lisbon - once more for significant money in a fifteen million pound deal.

The question came if he supports his expensive purchase, who is yet to score in seven outings for the club.

"Yes, very much so," Thelwell responded. "I think Youssef Chermiti is a player who's got great ability.
"I haven't doubted him in any way. Similarly, I believe Danny will help to maximize the potential out of the player.
"These are early days for the young player, he's a young talent and naturally with young talents they occasionally require patience.
"However, I'm convinced throughout of his time here he'll demonstrate that he's a very, very good footballer."

Stewart Understands Supporters' Frustration and Hurt

The chief executive was in the media scrutiny, considering the criticism that has been aimed his way by some club own supporters.

Additionally, there was a sign in the stadium during the last draw with United inviting Stewart - and the sporting director - to pack his bags before being removed for them.

Like his football director, the CEO did not avoid the issue.

"I completely appreciate the frustration and hurt that the supporters are experiencing because performances recently haven't been good enough and nobody's happy with those," he stated.
"The pain and frustration fans experience is matched inside the leadership.
"Recognize that there has to be an outlet for those frustrations and in my role, that's me.
"I'm a focal point for those and my responsibility as a
