Vehicles in Germany's Town Discovered Smeared with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Police Report

Police stated they were notified by a man who found a automobile in Hanau covered with reddish fluid

Roughly 50 vehicles have been covered with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, according to police.

Automobiles, exterior walls and postboxes were vandalized, in some cases with Nazi symbols, they announced in a statement.

Law enforcement report they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday night, when a individual discovered that a car in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been marked with a red-colored fluid.

The fluid had been placed in the pattern of a banned symbol, they added.

Law enforcement then found numerous other marked cars and building exteriors in the surrounding area.

Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under laws outlawing the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.

Law enforcement state initial examinations show the fluid was probably human blood.

"At present there remains no clue as to its origin; investigators are presently not informed of any physical harm in association with the occurrence," they stated.

Municipal representatives announced they were working "to resolve the mystery" and have requested to the public for information.

A senior official stated the attack rendered him stunned and had to be resolved quickly.

"This incident hits the center of Hanau and reawakens the pain of the far-right attack in 2020," he posted on a platform, mentioning the murder of nine victims by a gunman focusing on individuals of immigrant origin in five years prior.
